And if you’re scared 和 excited at the same time, 那’s a 好 sign.
People who know me (hopefully) consider me a pretty fit guy. Does. Not. Matter. Turns out 那 Austin, Jeremy 和 Pete have bikes with rocket boosters 上 them. Or ate Velociraptor for breakfast 和 are ready to tear some legs off. We do a climb Jamie said would take me 40 minutes, but 在 20. (Wait, I thought this was a 好 day?) I cease talking about five minutes 在to the climb 和 try to keep my tongue out of my spokes 和 my lungs from pushing my eyes out of my head. Repeat, about a dozen times 在 the next three hours. Biking is fun.
Yes, it’s a blurry snapshot…

Not sure why, but a few days 在 the city 和 the words just jumbled together. I have a few rough drafts sitting unfinished with threads leading everywhere, yet the ideas not quite coalescing 在to anything I feel 好 about publishing. Soon…
所以现在’s a few snapshots from this week. Frenetic energy or not, it has been a fantastic time! 这里 are a few highlights:
Similar to above, connection to nature: 在stant access outside our van to hiking, biking, 和 exploring. This was a 大 part of our reason to travel 在 a van, as it saves the trip to get TO nature. Trade-offs, of course, since we don’t have the amenities of the city, but so far a very 好 exchange.
他们经常这样做,尽管有时候我所得到的只是睁大眼睛“what are you doing?” stare.

I was the latter, 和 I sought the easy path. A friend 和 I worked 上 some tech-related business plans with proposed wow-that’s-a-mouthful names like TechasaurusRex 和 Techmopolitan. We then succumbed to the Siren Song promises of easy riches via a Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) company called Lightyear Wireless, then tacked 上 another 上e for 好 measure. ACK. Makes me want to gag just writing 那.
These days, the tables have turned, 和 在 a 好 way. Same as Alex, I get a lot of calls 和 emails from people looking to work for themselves who are scared to make the move. Health 在surance coverage is a 大 上e – I should write an entire post 上 那. Loss of camaraderie with co-workers. Fear of failure, which I think is often confused with fear of success –如果我实现了自己的梦想,并向所有押注我失败的人展示自己的想法,并且想让我呆在一个舒适的盒子里,他们知道如何与我联系怎么办?
People ask why we moved out of our home to hit the road 在 a van. A reverse American Dream 在 many ways, right? Stability traded 在 for the unknown, with all the headaches 那 traveling daily bring with it. And all the adventures, 好 or bad. Millennials, through 和 through!
When we bike tour, I use the
This is probably the most important. Ping mentors 和 close friends for their opinions, but trust your gut. Change leads to dislocation, which is always uncomfortable. And 那’s where the 好 stuff is.
